How to find Old Heritage Taxidemry


We are easy to find from the west side of the mountains.

RED ARROWS - Take I-90 to Ellensburg. Take Umptanum Road in south Ellensburg to Lake Wenas. We are located at the north end of the lake on the east side of the road on your left just past the Stagecoach RV park. Turn left at our sign and travel to the top of the hill to the red shop building.

BLUE ARROWS - Continue past Ellensburg on I-90. Stay right onto I-82 just south of Ellensburg going towards Yakima. Take the Selah/Harrison Rd./Firing Range exit at Selah. Travel west on Harrison Rd. to N. Wenas Rd. Turn right on N. Wenas Rd. to the lake. We are on your right, on the east side of the lake at the north end. Take a right at our sign and travel to the top of the hill to the red shop building.

GREEN ARROWS - Coming across Chinook Pass on Hi-way 410 onto Hi-way 12 at the "Y", no turns are necessary. Go through Naches. Just south of Naches, take a left to Allen Rd. Continue on Allen Rd to the first intersection onto Selah/Naches Rd. Go over the grade to the first intersection at Longmire Ln. Travel left onto Longmire Ln. to N. Wenas Rd. Take a left onto N. Wenas Rd and travel approximately 3 miles. We are on your right at the north end of the lake on the east side. Take a right at our sign and travel to the top of the hill to the red shop building.

BLACK ARROWS - Coming across White Pass on Hi-way 12, go through Naches. Follow the directions stated for the GREEN ARROWS.

ALL SHIPMENTS MUST BE A MAXIMUM OF 2 DAY DELIVERY. CALL THE SHOP BEFORE SHIPPING TO GIVE NOTICE OF INCOMING GAME.

A 5% DISCOUNT FOR ALL SHIPPED ORDERS IS PROVIDED TO HELP OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS OFFSET THE COST AND INCONVENIENCE OF SHIPPING, AND TO SHOW OUR APPRECIATION FOR YOUR BUSINESS.

ANIMALS - Freeze the animal. Wrap in heavy layers of newspaper. Place in a plastic bag. Place a heavy layer of newspaper into the cardboard shipping carton above and below the bagged animal. Label "perishable goods". Seal well.

BIRDS - Freeze the bird. Wrap in heavy layers of newspaper. Place in a PAPER BAG. Place into a plastic lined cardboard carton layered above and below the bird with heavy newspaper. Label "perishable goods". Seal well.

GAME HEADS - Freeze the head. Wrap in heavy layers of newspaper. Place into a plastic lined cardboard carton. Packing in dry ice is advisable. If the head is not frozen, packing in dry ice is MANDATORY! Label "perishable goods". seal well.

HIDES - DO NOT SALT FRESH HIDES OR CAPES! Bundle the cape or hide, place in plastic and freeze. Wrap in heavy layers of newspaper, place into a plastic lined carton layered above and below with heavy layers of newspaper. Seal well.

ATTENTION! If shipping Migratory Game Birds such as ducks or geese, Federal Law requires that the package be labeled on the outside "Migratory Gamebirds Enclosed". IN ADDITION, MIGRATORY GAMEBIRD CUSTOMERS MUST PROVIDE A SIGNATURE, TYPE OF BIRD and NUMBER, COUNTY TAKEN, ADDRESS, AND HUNTING LICENSE NUMBER FOR ALL MIGRATORY BIRDS. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE SHIPPED WITH THE BIRD.

All other game requires the Hunters name, address, type of animal, license and tag number, and the county or hunting GMU taken.
